Grace Vanderwaal (or Grace Avery VanderWaal) is an American singer, song writer and ukulele player who came to global media attention in 2016 due to her extraordinary musical performances in the American TV reality and talent show, America’s Got Talent (AGT).

Vanderwaal won the season 11 of the show on 14 August 2016. At 12 years of age, she became the second-youngest winner of the show during its more than a decade long history.

The show’s founder and one of the judges Simon Cowell praised Vanderwaal as next Taylor Swift and thanked her several times for participating in the show.

Grace Vanderwaal was born on 15 January 2004 in Suffern, New York as the youngest daughter of Dave Vanderwaal (father) and Tina Vanderwaal (mother). She has an elder sister, Olivia Vanderwaal, whom Grace refers as her best friend in media interviews. The second song Grace performed, beautiful thing,  in the AGT show was written and dedicated to her sister.
