The Rekha Thapa Foundation (RTF in short) is a philanthropic non-profit initiated by Nepal’s popular movie star Rekha Thapa.

The foundation was established in 2013 with the objective of working for the well-being of marginalized and disadvantaged communities in Nepal. On various occasions, Rekha has said that since issues of women and domestic violence, children and disadvantaged communities are very close to her, the foundation will focus its work on those areas.

Shortly after its establishment, The Rekha Thapa Foundation did a few social work activities. Rekha travelled to Surkhet, distributed goods and adopted four children from the disadvantaged Raute community in western Nepal. The children are said to be studying in Ananda Kuti School in Kathmandu.

In 2014, The Rekha Thapa Foundation also donated NRS 50,000 to support educating disabled students in Bal Jagriti College in Mahendranagar.
